"Laughing with the Stars" variety show to benefit the Laughing Feet Performers. This event will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Newman University's Performance Hall and will feature local stars Bonnie Bing, Mayor Carl Brewer, Wayne Bryan (Music Theatre of Wichita) Patty Reeder (Mosley Street Melodrama) Barb Schoenhofer, Steve Hitchcock, Shaun-Michael Morse, Emma Craig and Sierra Scott alongside our own Laughing Feet Performers. After the show, all attendees are invited to join our wine/appetizer reception which will feature a silent auction (with such items as a grill and vacation packages, jewelry and more), a chance to win 46” Samsung HDTV and live painting artwork by local artist, Mike Potts.
Laughing Feet Performers evolved from a mentoring club/group in area Public Schools. It is now a volunteer-run organization and continues to grow with more and more students becoming interested in the cause. The mission of The Laughing Feet Performers is to inspire relationships between individuals with special needs and their typical peers through musical and artistic expression as well as give performance opportunities to those who would normally not have them.
